IAC to intensify protest against power tariff issue

The IAC alleged that the DERC proposal to revert to the original tariff structure which will mean restoration of the slab for consumption between 201-400 units is a "hoax".

In a statement, the IAC said it will hold a meeting next Sunday to chalk out its next course of action on the power tariff hike issue. "We will intensify the protest," an IAC spokesperson said.

Last Sunday, the IAC held a protest here against Delhi government on power tariff hike and asked people not to pay electricity bills, alleging that the hike in power tariff is unjustified.
