Reports have emerged that certain right wing groups are behind the split, with fingers being pointed towards the role of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). As per reports in certain media channels, soon after Hazare made the separation announcement, there was a secret meeting called by Anna Hazare, Baba Ramdev and RSS functionaries on Wednesday night.

Rumours doing the rounds that it was RSS emissaries and close aides of Hazare who facilitated the split. The Headlines Today expose revealed that RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav was given the task of carrying out the split and industrialist Sitaram Jindal acted as the middleman to facilitate communication between RSS top leadership and Hazare.

It is also understood that Jindal made multiple trips to Hazare's hometown in Ralegan Siddhi. Among other top people who had a prominent role in affecting the split were Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Art of Living (AoL) founder Sri Sri Ravishankar who are against Kejriwal's political move. Kiran Bedi and former Army Chief Gen VK Singh also backed Hazare every step of the way.

Sources have claimed to the media channel that Kiran Bedi has been promised chief ministership of Delhi, while VK Singh has been offered BJP ticket from Bhiwani Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana.
