Manmohan to give plump posts to performers

New Delhi, Sep 15: These days Prime Minister

is a busy man. After opening up gates to foreign direct investment in a host of sectors, Prime Minister is all set to reshuffle his cabinet in coming days.

Analysts say the latest cabinet reshuffle is Prime Minister's attempt at course correction after pushing for reforms on Friday.

Singh is likely to give plump posts to performers, say sources.

Sources added the big four names in the Congress-led UPA government will retain their posts.

Defence Minister AK Antonty, Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and External Affairs Minister SM Krisha will stay. Sources also inform that once again Rahul Gandhi would not get a cabinet berth.

The forthcoming cabinet reshuffle would be the last one, before the 2014 General Elections.

Sources say ministers holding dual charges will now be given a single portfolio.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan could be brought back to the Centre.
