Name of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Narayan Rane is doing the rounds, as sources indicate Rane might once again become the Chief Minister of the state.

Sources say that Maharashtra Cabinet reshuffle is expected after September 16.

Speculation of a Cabinet reshuffle is rife after Rane met Congress President Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Friday, Sep 14.

Incumbent Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan is likely to hold a cabinet post at centre, say sources.

Congress ally NCP recently attacked Chavan for his refusal to back ministers, several of them from the NCP, facing allegations of corruption. Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil was also criticised by the NCP.
