Ahead of his marriage with Kareena, Saif Ali Khan grilled

Mumbai, Sep 9:

actor Saif Ali Khan has been grilled over an alleged "hawala" transaction case at the time when the entire nation is looking forward his much hyped marriage with heroine Kareena Kapoor.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday, Sep 8 questioned the actor who was booked after purchasing a high-end car from abroad in 2004.

The ED officials suspect that the actor might have violated the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) while purchasing the car.

According to sources, the investigating officials grilled Saif with regard to some documentation of his residential bonafides.

The ED is believed to have been probing if the the payment for the vehicle was made through illegal channels known as 'hawala' and if it complied with FEMA rules.

The investigative officials will scrutinise few documents submitted by the actor and if sources are to be believed then the ED is likely to close the investigation soon.

Saif is a famous Bollywood actor and also became the Nawab of Pataudi after his father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi passed away in Sep 2011.
