Anil's widow Swapna stated that she was informed about Anil's death around 4:15 pm on Sunday, Sept 2 but his body was found at 2:30 pm.
Swapna questioned about the delay. Expressing her doubts about the behaviour of Anil's family members, Swapna said, "I was only informed about the death around 4.15 pm whereas they found him dead in the afternoon. I have a suspicion that my sister-in-law and her husband did it purposefully and hence I have lodged a complaint with police."
However, Hyderabad police rejected Swapna's claim of lodging complain against Anil's family members. According to sources, Anil might have committed suicide as he allegedly was not happy over his marital life.
Informing about Anil's postmortem report, police officials have been quoted as saying, "The preliminary postmortem report confirmed that it was death due to consumption of poisonous material. We have also found a suicide note and there was no complaint from the wife of the deceased."
Soon after conducting postmortem, police handed over Anil's body to his family in Hyderabad.
According to police, both Anil and Swapna's family members have agreed to compromise. A police officer said that "Initially, family members of Anil alleged that their son was not happy with the marital life and that was the reason for the suicide. Swapna's family gave Rs 25 lakh dowry at the time of marriage and Anil's family members agreed to return the amount, which made the two parties reach a compromise in the evening."
30-year-old Anil was found dead in his car at Kukatpally, a major residential and commercial suburb in Hyderabad.
He left one suicide note behind him saying, "I am ending my life as life was not convenient as I had desired."
Anil had returned from US on Saturday and checked in a hotel in Hyderabad. He hired a cab to visit his sister's house. His body was found near his sister's residence.
