Bangalore: Hyderabad student arrested for terror link

26-year-old Rehman has been taken to Bangalore for further questioning. Rehman was the 12th person who has been taken under police custody in connection with hatching plots of terror attack in South India.
Bangalore police on Saturday, Sept 1 informed that they found concrete proofs after questioning the arrested people. The terrorists, who were suspected to have links with LeT and HuJI, had a larger network across Karnataka and other parts of the country.
All suspects were remanded to 14 day police custody on Friday after being produced before a local magistrate. The investigating officials are reported to have got several crucial information regarding their terror plan in the city and other parts of the country.
In a major operation held on Friday, the city police had arrested 11 persons, including a DRDO scientist and a journalist, with suspected links to LeT and HuJI and claimed to have foiled their plot to target MPs, MLAs and mediapersons in Karnataka. One of the arrested person was a journalist working with a reputed English newspaper.
