Bajrangi put behind bars till death, Kodnani gets 28-yr term

In the same case, BJP legislator Maya Kodnani was sentenced to 28 years of rigorous imprisonment. Special court judge Jyotsana Yagnik awarded Kodnani a 10-year prison term after convicting her under Section 326 of IPC.
Since the 56-year-old former minister was also held guilty under sections 120 B, 302 and 307, she will have to spend an additional 18 years in jail.
Twenty-nine other convicts in the case were handed prison terms ranging from 14 to 21 years.
As many as 97 persons are believed to have been put to death in Naroda on Feb 28, 2002. A total of 32 persons were convicted in the case.
