'Logjam in Parliament over CAG report not good for industry'

Chandigarh, Aug 27: Industry body Assocham termed the logjam in parliament over the CAG report on coal issue as unfortunate and expressed fear that it could affect the investment climate in the country.

"...Definitely if everyday this type of reports (related to coal issue) coming in newspapers and Parliament it is not good for the industry. Because industry and foreign investors want smooth working."

"...But when these types of statements come, it is not good for the nation and industry," Assocham President Rajkumar Dhoot told reporters here.

Dhoot, who is a Rajya Sabha MP and MD of Videocon Group, said parliamentarians should not issue such types of statements in Parliament on any issue which could affect the country's industry climate.
