After Shahrukh Khan, now Ranbir Kapoor fined for smoking

A court in Udaipur, Rajasthan on Tuesday, Aug 28 asked the junior Kapoor to pay Rs 200. The court earlier on Jun 26 had summoned the 29-year-old actor.
Harish Vaishnav lodged a complaint against the actor when his picture of smoking featured in a local daily in the state.
The complainant accused the actor of violating the Rajasthan Prevention of Smoking Act. Ranbir's photo was taken during the shooting of his upcoming movie Jawani Hain Deewani.
However, KK Purohit, Ranbir's lawyer had claimed in the court that the actor did not smoke in public but it was part of the film. The lawyer also assured that his client will not repeat the same.
A person found guilty of smoking in public can be sentenced to a maximum imprisonment of six months or a fine of Rs 200, says the Rajasthan Prevention of Smoking Act.
Earlier, the King Khan also paid fine for smoking in public. A Jaipur city court earlier had pronounced its judgement on a petition filed against the actor Shahrukh Khan saying that the actor was "guilty" for smoking in public.
The court asked the actor to pay Rs 100 as fine. Soon after the court's judgement, Shahrukh's counsel had claimed that his client was ready to pay the fine.
