Geetika case cracked, noose tightens around Kanda

According to police, Geetika took the extreme step with an intention to end her relationship with Kanda (owner of MDLR airlines), who has been accused of abetting her suicide. The police also claimed that Kanda was adamant and did not want to let her go and even threatened her.
Allegedly unable to face the harassment, Geetika committed suicide on Aug 5. After evading arrest for 10 days, Kanda surrendered on Aug 18 and was arrested. Kanda, in his statement, had said that he was not in touch with Geetika since 45 days ahead of her death. He also alleges that he has been framed and the media misguided on his involvement.
Ankita, who was also named in Geetika's suicide note, is yet to be questioned and is presently out of the country. She is expected to be summoned soon and will join the investigation. Another MDLR employee Shivroop is also being interrogated and police officials said that he may be arrested soon.
