Parliament stalled for fourth day over coal scam

As soon as both the Houses met for the day, opposition members rushed to the Well raising slogans against the Prime Minister. In the Lok Sabha, BJP and Shiv Sena members crowded the Well raising slogans against the government over "undue favours" extended to private firms to the tune of Rs 1.86 lakh crore in coal block allocation, as brought forth by the CAG.
Congress members were seen flashing copies of the days List of Business indicating they favoured continuance of the Question Hour.
Speaker Meira Kumar took up the Question Hour but nothing could be heard in the din. Mehboob Beg (NC) was seen displaying a placard 'Don't Stall Parliament, Stall Declining Economic Growth Instead'. As the din continued, Kumar adjourned the House till noon.
Rajya Sabha witnessed slogan shouting by BJP-led NDA members the moment Chairman Hamid Ansari took up the listed business. As BJP members shouted slogans demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, the treasury benches countered them by shouting slogans hailing Singh.
Ansari asked members to take their seats. "Please sit down. Please allow Question Hour to proceed," he said.
While the Congress members responded to his plea by taking their seats, the Opposition benches continued slogan shouting. As slogan shouting continued, Ansari adjourned the House till noon.
