Geetika suicide: Kanda's airhostesses were 'hypnotised'!

Geetika, Kanda and Nupur Mehta
New Delhi, Aug 23: Bollywood starlet Nupur Mehta, who reportedly was summoned by the Delhi police for questioning in connection with Geetika Sharma's suicide case, claimed that the airhostesses in Gopal Kanda's MDLR airlines were "hypnotised".

Overruling police summons and calling it as "rumours", Nupur stated, "I have not received any summons from the police. Besides why should they be questioning me instead those mentioned in her suicide note. I don't know how these rumours started."

The starlet, however, did not conceal her rage against Aruna Chaddha, an employee of MDLR airlines. Aruna Chadda has already been quizzed over allegations of harassment in connection with Geetika Sharma's suicide case.

Describing Chaddha's "bad influence" on the MDLR employee, especially on the airhostesses, Nupur said, Aruna Chaddha had a bad influence on the airhostesses of the company. She almost hypnotised them and they stopped listening to me completely."

Nupur was an ex-employee of the now defunct MDLR airlines and she had worked in Kanda's casino in Goa. Talking about her personal relationship with Geetika, the starlet informed, "I knew Sharma since I trained airhostesses in personality development and make-up."

However, when she was asked about their fight in Goa, Nupur revealed a complete different story. According to Nupur, Geetika had a personal problem with Ankita, a woman with whom Kanda allegedly had an extra-marital affair and they have a child. Remembering the ruckus between Ankita and Geetika, the starlet said, "Ankita Singh (a Kanda associate) and Sharma got into a fight I had only accompanied her and nobody raised a hand on Geetika."

Kanda, the owner of MDLR and the main accused in the case, was arrested. Earlier, he was booked under abatement to suicide case but now police sources informed that he is likely to be booked for destruction of evidence in the Geetika Sharma's suicide case.

Geetika was found dead in her apartment in Delhi on Aug 5. She, in her suicide letter, had accused Kanda and Chaddha of harassing her and forcing her to take the extreme step of ending her life.
