Geetika suicide:After Kanda, Bollywood actress to be grilled
Nupur, who hogged the limelight for the first time when her name (honeytrap) appeared in the international cricket match-fixing controversies, had commented on Geetika and Gopal Kanda's relationship. Kanda, one of the main accused in the suicide case, was the owner of the now defunct MDLR airlines where Geetika was an employee.
Nupur along with Geetika was working with MDLR airlines. She joined the Goa casino in 2009 when MDLR got defunct. The casino has also been owned by Kanda.
Nupur has been quoted as saying, "When I joined, I was surprised to see that Kanda had retained all his airhostesses and they worked in the casino. He had an influential circle of friends and acquaintances, including high-profile Congress politicians and businessmen, who visited the casino."
According to Nupur, Geetika had some personal dispute with Ankita with whom Kanda allegedly had an extra marital affair and they have a child. The actress also claimed that Geetika once filed an FIR against Ankita. Surprisingly, Geetika mentioned Ankita's name in her suicide note.
The cops booked another MDLR employee, Chand Shivrup, the assistant HR Manager of MDLR, in connection with the suicide case. Shivrup has been charged with various sections under the IT (Information Technology) Act for forging a letter making false allegations against Geetika Sharma and threatening to extradite her to Dubai.
Delhi police sources on Wednesday, Aug 22 informed that Nupur may play an important role regarding the investigation in the suicide case. The court recently has lashed out at the cops for failing to keep Geetika's postmortem report confidential.
Geetika's autopsy report was released to the media. The report is believed to have claimed that Geetika was subjected to unnatural sex which could also be one of the reasons the ambitious woman chose to end her life.
Geetika was found hanging in her flat on Aug 5 and the suicide note in the premises had named Gopal Kanda and another MDLR employee Aruna Chaddha of causing her mental distress and cited as the reason for her decision to commit suicide.
