-ul-Fitr tomorrow, marking the conclusion of the fasting month of Ramadan.

The sighting of the Moon, marking the end of the fasting season, was declared this evening by 'Kazis' (spiritual leaders) of the community, including Panakkad Syid Hyderali Thangal, here.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly VS Achuthanandan and leaders of various political parties greeted the people on the occasion.

In his Eid message, IUML supremo Panakkad Hyderali Shiab Thangal called upon the faithful to take Eid as an opportunity to reinforce love, affection and compassion among all sections of the society.
