Ramdev to reveal names of corrupt leaders

New Delhi, Aug 11: After Anna Hazare's crusade against corruption, it is the turn of yoga guru Baba Ramdev to reveal names of corrupt politicians in public. Ramdev, who is currently undertaking a three-day symbolic fast at the Ramlila Maidan, said, while addressing a crowd, that he would reveal the names by the end of the day. It was, however, reported that the crowd thinned significantly on the final day of Ramdev's fast programme.

Saying the corruption in the country was keeping its people poor, Ramdev said he would divulge names of the corrupt persons from Saturday evening onwards. He added that once the names of the corrupt people were revealed, the agitation against them would spread throughout the country.

The yoga guru said they were giving the tainted politicians time till Saturday evening. He added that the call against the corrupt leaders would be heard at every nook and corner till the culprits were removed. Ramdev had said earlier that his movement against corruption would continue for at least fifty years.

The current agitation in New Delhi is Ramdev's second such venture against corruption. His earlier agitation, held in June last year, ended in a fiasco with a midnight crackdown by the police. Authorities accused Ramdev of violating norms agreed upon. The guru was caught while fleeing the protesting venue in a woman's attire.
