Twist in probe: Fiza's medical rpt found in lawyer's car

Chander Mohan, is turning murkier when the police have recovered and taken into custody an abandoned Scorpio car near Ambala. The car belonging to a Punjab and Haryana High Court lawyer carried a medical examination slip of Fiza. The police are probing the lawyer's role in her death.

The police found the vehicle abandoned on Jarot road close to Ambala City and was recovered on Friday night. With the latest twist in the case, Fiza's death has baffled investigators looking into the case. The fact on who abandoned the car still remains a mystery. The matter that the car belonged to the lawyer was confirmed by SHO Baldev Nagar Pawan Kumar.

The lawyer, however, informed the SHO that he had given the car to Fiza for a few months to use and she had not returned it. He also claimed that a complaint in this regard was filed with the Chandigarh police.

In another twist to the case, social activist Salim Alvi was summoned by the police after his mobile number was found in the call details of Fiza's phone.

Former Haryana Assistant Advocate General Fiza's decomposed body was found in her residence and she is understood to have committed suicide.
