Work hard and steal a little: UP Min's advice to bureaucrats

The statement by the Minister has triggered a controversy and he made little effort to mask the intent of his advice. He further clarified, "I told PWD officials that if you work hard, you can steal a little but not behave like dacoits." The added fact that the minister is also UP CM Akhilesh Yadav's uncle has only raised more eyebrows.
This is not the first time that Yadav has been the subject of controversy. Earlier in July, too, he had claimed that instead of slaughtering cows for consumption, people should kill and feast on the endangered Nilgai. He said, "Don't butcher cows, there are plenty of Nilgai, anyone can kill them. They taste good when made into kebabs."
