Vista v/s Swift: Tata Motors launches Clearly Ahead campaign
Tata Motors launches the 'Clearly Ahead' campaign which claims that Vista is clearly ahead of the Maruti Swift.
Tata Motors has launched a campaign claiming that the Tata Vista is 'clearly ahead' of the Maruti Swift. The campaign went live in the later part of July and was backed by digital advertising that led viewers to a micro-site.
Once on the micro-site, Tata Motors wasted no time in showing viewers the comparison between the two cars. The different aspects of the two cars were pitted against each other in a tabular format.
Surprisingly, the Vista VX Diesel and the Swift VDi Diesel share the same engine, and because of that, were at an impasse in terms of performance. The Swift was ahead of the Vista in terms of mileage by 0.6 kmpl.
Moving on, the Tata Vista was ahead of the Swift in terms of space with legroom of 720 - 920 mm (as opposed to the 640 - 880 mm legroom of the Maruti Swift). It also beat the Swift in terms of boot space. The 232 litres of boot space in the Tata Vista exceeded the Swift's by 28 litres.
Coming to the interiors, the Vista offered a variety of versatile solutions that allowed its owners to fold the rear seats to make more room in the back. This feature, along with the Black and Sahara Beige Interiors was missing from the Swift.
The Tata Vista VX Diesel was outfitted with many features that are considered essential for road safety. ABS with EBD, a rear mounted wiper, steering mounted audio controls and Blue 5 connectivity were noticeably absent in the Maruti Swift VDi Diesel.
Tata Motors rounded off the comparison with a pie chart detailing the online mentions of the two cars. Tata Vista enjoyed 42% positive mentions as compared to the 37% positive mentions of the Swift. The negative mentions of the Vista were also less than that of the Swift.
This activity, coupled with the near overwhelming amount of positive customer reviews generated from previous experiences puts the Tata Vista clearly ahead of the Maruti Swift.
