Sachin, Rekha vote in Vice-Prez election

just months ago, voted along with other members of the Upper House in the Vice Presidential election on Tuesday.

Incidentally, both Sachin and Rekha are expected to attend Parliament's Monsoon Session from Wednesday.

Lok Sabha members also exercised their franchise to choose the country's 14th Vice President. The incumbent Hamid Ansari is the favourite to win the election as the UPA and several parties supporting the ruling coalition that enjoys a clear majority in the electoral college have extended full support to him.

On the other hand, Ansari's rival Jaswant Singh enjoys the backing of opposition NDA and some other outfits including the AIADMK. The result of the election will be declared later today.
