Three injured in bomb blast in Assam

Guwahati, Aug 5: Three persons were injured in a minor bomb blast in Assam's Baksa district today. Reports say that the bomb was kept in a radio transistor.

This is the second blast in the state in the last six days. On Jul 31, an Improvised Explosive Device was used to blow up a truck of the Indian Army at Bamunghopa in Goalpara district.

One Army man died on the spot. Six of his colleagues sustained serious injuries. The truck was part of a convoy that was proceeding to moving from Kokrajhar to Agia.

Assam recently witnessed violent clashes between Bodo tribals and immigrant Muslims. Over 60 people were killed in Kokrajhar district and nearly 4 lakh were displaced from their homes.
