Hyderabad, Aug 4: Five days after the incident, Infosys employee Neelima's death remains a mystery. While police are claiming that it was a suicide case, autopsy reports suggest that it might be a case of homicide.

During a press conference on Friday, Aug 3 Hyderabad police officials ruled out foul play in Neelima's death and claimed that CCTV footage and other evidences show that Neelima was all alone in the multi-storeyed parking lot in the office premise on Tuesday. The officials also ruled out the speculation that she had an argument with someone inside and was pushed from the seventh floor of the complex. According to the investigators, Neelima's chappal, which was found on the seventh floor, might have come out of her leg when she stepped onto a pipe on the parapet wall which is nearly three feet high. Neelima is believed to have jumped from there.

However, Neelima's autopsy reports tell a different story. Doctors, who conducted post-mortem on the body on Thursday, said, "Abrasions were found on her neck, body and legs including deep wounds and scratch marks, indicating that there was a struggle before she fell down."

"Further, there were multiple internal injuries on Neelima's body. Some of the injuries were deep wounds besides several scratches. We also found some liquid in her stomach, most likely alcohol. Therefore, for confirmation, we are sending Neelima's blood samples to the AP Forensic Science Laboratory. The report is expected in a week," added the doctors.

Earlier, media reports had said that police arrested three techies in connection with Neelima's death. However, no further reports have come out so far.

Police, during the investigation, found some crucial information about Neelima and they believe that those information may help them reach a conclusion. Police officials earlier had informed, "She was staying in a two-bedroom flat there and had given an advertisement to rent one of the rooms in that house. Another Infosys employee was already staying in the other room. Therefore, we are not sure whether she planned to return to USA or not."

27-year-old Neelima returned from New Jersey, US just three days before the tragic incident. She had gone there for some official project work. She was married.
