Priyanka Gandhi steps into Sonia's shoes, joining Congress?

Priyanka started meeting people on every Wednesday in Delhi. According to sources, Priyanka will discuss the issues and problems of the people of the constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
However, Congress party sources ruled out all speculations regarding Priyanka's plan of joining the party or politics in near future.
Party sources clarified the issue saying that Priyanka has been looking after such works as the Congress President restricted herself from public appearance for her ailing health condition.
Meanwhile, Congress party sources also stated that Rahul Gandhi and not Priyanka would continue to handle the affairs in his constituency - Amethi.
Earlier Priyanka along with her brother Rahul participated in election campaigns in Uttar Pradesh for the assembly polls. Despite Priyanka and Rahul's massive campaigning in the state, the party experienced a shameful defeat.
Following the poll result in the state, Sonia Gandhi claimed that "wrong choice of candidates" might be one of the several reasons behind the poll debacle in all states especially in Uttar Pradesh. Citing the Congress President's statement, many asked - did she try to blame Rahul Gandhi? The AICC general secretary, Rahul was the main face and representative of the party in Uttar Pradesh.
