Bangalore: Couple killed brutally, daughter attacked

Bangalore, Aug 1: A couple, who hailed from Agra, has been brutally killed in the Garden City, Bangalore. The gruesome incident took place on Tuesday, Jul 31.

The killer also attacked six-year-old daughter of the couple. The girl has been hospitalised and currently is under treatment. Police suspect that the killer(s) might have attacked the girl as she had witnessed her parents' murder.

Doctors informed that the girl's condition is critical and they are trying their best to save her.

The couple, Pankaj and Babita Sharma, were the owner of a vegetarian hotel in Cottonpet area of west Bangalore. The news surfaced only on Wednesday when their neighbours called the police and informed about the tragic incident.

The investigative officials informed that the cook, who joined the couple just seven days ago, has been missing since Tuesday night. According to police sources, the cook was a resident of Assam.

Reason and the motive behind the murder are yet to be known. Police have not yet disclosed the suspect's name. However, they have discovered the weapon used for murder. Pankaj and Babita were hit on the head with an iron rod.
