Six children killed when school's roof collapses in UP

Lucknow, Jul 27: Six

of a private school in

's Bijnor district were

and at least 13 others injured seriously when its roof collapsed on them today.

According to sources, the 25-odd children studying in Std V at the Mansa Devi school in Jabeelpur were caught unawares when the roof collapsed at 12.30 p.m.

First 10 students were pulled out from under the debris but six of them did not survive. Later 13 more kids were extricated. They had sustained serious injuries and were hence admitted to the district hospital.

Rescue efforts are still underway.
