India has lost a great son: Lord Paul on Rajesh Khanna

Rajesh Khanna died in Mumbai yesterday at the age of 69 and the news prompted an outpouring of grief. In a condolence message on the death of India's first superstar, Lord Paul said, "India has lost a great son, a great actor who has given vast amount of entertainment to millions of people in India and all over the world".
"From my personal knowledge, I know him as a great human being and a very humble person who enjoyed what he did. My condolences go to his family," Lord Paul said.
Khanna made his name playing the romantic lead in a string of films which were massive hits in the 1960s and 1970s. The actor starred in more than 160 films including hits such as Kati Patang, Aaradhana, Anand and Amar Prem.
