Laila murder: Starlet's father moves HC seeking CBI probe

New Delhi, Jul 17: The father of slain

actress Laila Khan has filed a writ petition in the Bombay High Court, appealing for a CBI probe into her death.

Six skeletons found recently at Igatpuri in Maharashtra's Nashik district are believed to be that of Laila and her family members. However, the investigators can confirm this only if DNA samples taken from the victims match the one taken from Laila's grandmother.

Pervez Ahmed Tak, main accused in the case, has reportedly confessed to having planned their murders. According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, Tak's main motive was jealousy and he took the help of a person named Shakir to execute his diabolical plan.

Jammu and Kashmir police have already issued a look out notice for the latter.
