Jammu and Kashmir
Srinagar, Jul 12: The Indian Army arrested a Pakistani soldier from the Kerni sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district today.

Arif Ali, a member of Pakistani Army's Frontier Force Regiment, was taken into custody around 6 am. He was not found to be carrying any weapons.

According to sources, Ali who has sought asylum told Indian officials that he and many colleagues have been feeling frustrated for some time because there is no electricity, very little ration and other basic amenities in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The sources said that Ali will be sent back to his country after his interrogation is over.

The Frontier Force Regiment of the Pakistani Army is assigned the task of monitoring the Line of Control or LoC.
