Missing Pak starlet Laila Khan and family killed in Mumbai

The police stated that Pervez Ahmed Tak, who was in police custody in relation to the missing case of the Pakistan-born starlet, revealed the facts during the course of interrogation. She has been missing for more than a year. Laila and her family were last seen in a shop in Kishtwar town on May 29. Her car was also found abandoned in a lake in Srinagar.
Tak had earlier confessed that Laila had married a close aide of dreaded fugitive Dawood Ibrahim. With her underworld links coming to light, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has been on the lookout for the star and her family who had reportedly left Mumbai for Kishtwar. They had left Mumbai along with a Kashmiri Ateeq Khan to attend a wedding. The family was never seen thereafter.
Laila's father, Nadir Shah Patel, had raised suspicion and stated that his daughter might have been killed and had also filed a complaint with the Mumbai police. In his complaint, he had mentioned that along with Laila, her mother Saleena Patel, sister Azmina Patel, her stepfather Asif Sheikh and family friend Pervez Iqbal Tak were also missing.
