Mayawati to host dinner for Pranab ahead of Prez poll

New Delhi, Jul 3: UPA's front runner for the

election,

is scheduled to meet Uttar Pradesh CM

for lunch today following which he will meet

for dinner during his visit to Lucknow.

Pranab will meet the Samajwadi Party leaders over lunch at the CM's residence, where he will be introduced to party MPs and MLAs.

Reports reveal that smaller political outfits may also extend their support to Pranab Mukherjee.

The finance minister is expected to meet Mayawati at her Lucknow residence in the evening, where he will meet BSP MLAs and MPs.

After the dinner hosted by the former chief minister, Mayawati will accompany Pranab Mukherjee to her office.

Meanwhile, Mukherjee will be travelling to Kerala on Wednesday following which he will visit Rajasthan and Gujarat the next day. He is also scheduled to visit Tripura and Assam on Jul 6.
