Japanese woman continues to 'chat' even as her baby boy dies

She sought to explain the criminal negligence by citing the death of another boy who fell from the balcony of her apartment. "I have sought solace in chatting on the Internet to get connected to other people for three years since I got depressed for losing my son in an accident," she said.
Incidentally, her first child had died a few days after birth. The repeated tragedies seem to have made Yumiko numb. The 29-year-old was aware that her toddler was feverish, yet she did not attend him.
When finally Yumiko returned to his room nearly three days later, she saw that baby Neo was dead. The most surprising thing is that instead of showing any remorse, the accused reportedly remarked, "Child raising is too much hassle."
