Dead infants, severed body parts dumped near lake in AP

Yesterday morning a person named Balaraju told the police that he had seen several limbs, torsos and skulls near the Almas Functional Hall. After other locals reported the same, police went to the spot and saw that bodies of the infants were completely covered in formalin.
Whether they were dumped there to eliminate evidence of illegal abortions is not clear as of now. Four of the babies were male, a Health official confirmed.
However, the fact that chopped limbs of adults were also found at the place suggests that the victims were probably used in medical experiments. When reporters asked about the possibility of medical waste being dumped at the spot, Mahbubnagar Government Hospital superintendent SS Samuel stressed that even if it is so bodies should be disposed off as per the norms.
Doctors at Osmania General Hospital conducted post mortem on bodies of the infants today. The limbs of adults have been sent to laboratories for forensic tests.
