Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha surrenders, granted bail

New Delhi, Jun 28: Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha surrendered to a local court on Thursday and obtained bail in connection with a case relating to the anti-corruption agitation the leader had led during Madhu Koda's regime in Jharkhand in 2008.

The senior BJP leader was granted bail after furnishing a bond of Rs 5,000.

Former BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Maroo, party leader Sanjay Seth and Former BJP president Yadunath Pandey were among the other leaders who surrendered along with Sinha and were granted bail.

Sinha was booked for bringing the traffic to a halt after the BJP went on a 12 day anti-corruption protest during Madhu Koda's regime.
