26/11: Friends turn foe; Abu Jundal in ISI, LeT hit list
Sources from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) confirmed the news that Jundal is in the hit list of LeT and ISI. The news surfaced following Jundal's confession which exposed Pakistan's direct involvement in Mumbai terror attacks which shook India in 2008.
"Jundal is now on the hit list of the LeT-ISI combine," said a security sources and also confirmed that arrested LeT terrorist has been provided high security cover.
Earlier reports show how Pakistan had tried to stop Jundal's deportation from Saudi to India. Pakistan had claimed that Jundal is a Pakistani national and demanded that Jundal should be handed over to them and not to India.
However, India, with all evidence such as photographs, DNA, chargesheets and other legal documents related to Jundal, convinced the Saudi intelligence and finally managed to take Jundal back to India.
During his interrogation, Jundal stated that several top ISI commanders were present in the control room which was situated in a VIP area in Karachi to monitor the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai.
The ISI commanders, according to Jundal, were active while providing information, guidance and instructions to the terrorists during the three days of the attack.
