Massive bus accident in Chennai, 30 injured, 1 dead

The accident happened around 2 pm when the bus fell from Anna Salai Gemini flyover. According to eyewitnesses, around 50 to 60 people were there in the bus when it encountered with the accident.
The driver of the state-owned Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus allegedly took a blind U-turn but could not keep the balance and fell off from the flyover.
According to sources, the bus was plying between Vadapalani area and Parry's Corner in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Traffic police struggled to maintain the heavy traffic as the accident created ruckus.
Rescue operations are underway. All injured people were taken to a near by government hospital.
