Earthquake: Tremor shakes Bangalore again

Earlier, repeated tremors were felt across India including Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Guwahati following an earthquake measuring 8.9 in Richter Scale around Sumatra region on Apr 11.
Tsunami alerts were issued after the earthquake but fortunately India and other parts of the world escaped as nature showed some sympathy towards the living creatures of this world.
Despite major quakes and repeated tremors, tsunami did not wreck the world on Wednesday. Unlike the situation of 2004, the earth plates had moved horizontally and not vertically during the quakes which rocked Indonesia and Sumatra regions on Apr 11.
In 2004, the plates had moved vertically which caused devastating tsunami in which 2.4 lakh people had died worldwide. In India, more than 15,500 had died.
