BJP to hold Jail Bharo Andolan on Jun 22 across India

Jammu, Jun 20: Accusing the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir government of failing to tackle price rise, scams and crisis in water and power, state BJP appealed to its workers to ensure success of the nation-wide fill-the-jail stir on Jun 22.

"The party at the national level has decided to observe Jun 22 as 'Jail Bharo Andolan' day when party activists will court arrest at district levels in the country against failure of the UPA government on all fronts," state BJP chief Shamsher Singh Manhas told reporters here.

He appealed to party workers to come out in large numbers and court arrest in Jammu and other places in the state. Manhas said BJP Mahila Morcha National President and Member Parliament Smriti Irani will court arrest here.
