Nithyananda is a baby, claims woman scientist in Bangalore

Bangalore, Jun 16: Controversy over the self-styled godman Swami

has taken a surprising turn when a woman scientist claimed that "he is a baby".

Crying for Nithyananda's freedom, the scientist, who is also a graduate in nanotechnology from the prestigious MIT, claimed that the 'godman' is a baby and urged police to spare him.

However, the woman was not alone in pleading for Nithyananda. IGP Bhaskar Rao, who was the in-charge of Nithyananda's security during his confinement in the Mysore jail, stated, "Another woman - a doctor - said Swami Nithyananda was their 'deity' and begged us to release him."

"There were highly qualified women and men including scientists, corporate honchos, doctors, techies and chartered accountants, who wanted to see their guru and were worried about his safety," added Rao.

Surprising all, the 'godman' earlier had asserted, "I'm not a man. There's no way I could have indulged in sexual activities with women. Do a potency test on me."

Nithyananda, who was arrested over several gruesome allegations, got bail from Ramanagaram court on Friday, Jun 15.

"Executive magistrate Sri Rama Reddy granted bail to my client and asked him to deposit two surety bonds of Rs 100,000 each for his release from jail," said his advocate Muddu Malai.
