Indian Union Muslim League MLA Basheer booked for murder
The case is being seen as a revenge for the murder of Muslim League party worker Ateeq Rehman in Jan.
A case against Basheer was filed after one of the victims alleged that the MLA had issued a threat saying he would avenge Ateeq Rehman's death.
The victims, Azad and his brother Kolakadan Aboobacker were accused in a murder case.
According to the relatives of the victims, the murder was a result of an inflammatory speech made by the MLA.
However, Basheer rubbished all the allegations.
