Digvijay wants inquiry into Gadkari's assets

today demanded an inquiry into the assets acquired by

president

in the last 15 years.

"I am ready for an inquiry into my assets and want that those acquired by Gadkari should also be probed," Digvijay said at a campaign rally for Devendra Sadho, the Congress candidate for the June 12 Assembly by-election in Maheshwar.

He further alleged that BJP President spent Rs 16 crore on the wedding of his son, where two lakh people were fed.

Taking a swipe at yoga guru Baba Ramdev, the Congress leader said that before talking about black money, he should reply to the notice for Rs 80 crore tax sent by Income Tax Department and another for Rs 40 crore evasion of sales tax, sent by the Uttarakhand government.

By-poll at Maheshwar was necessitated by elevation of the sitting MLA to Rajya Sabha.
