Case against Minister for eulogising Ranvir Sena chief

Bhagalpur (Bihar), Jun 8: A complaint was filed today against a state minister for reportedly eulogising the slain Ranvir Sena chief Brahmeshwar Singh alias Mukhiyaji as a Gandhian leader.

One Dr Mukesh filed the complaint case in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate RP Malviya in Bhagalpur against Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister Giriraj Singh under several sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The CJM admitted the case and fixed June 22 for its hearing.

In the case, the petitioner objected to the minister reportedly eulogising the slain Ranvir Sena chief as a Gandhian leader and questioned the reasoning behind equating a person who founded a private militia of an upper caste and was an accused in over 200 murder cases to the 'Father of Nation'.
