BJP dares to fight with Dimple but fails to file nomination
BJP which had earlier decided not to contest in the elections made a u-turn and moved to file its candidate Jagdev Yadav's nomination papers. But as Yadav could not reach the returning officer's office on time, he could not submit his papers.
The deadline for submitting nomination papers ended on Wednesday. So, it seems that BJP, who dared to fight against the wife of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav - Dimple, lost the battle before the game even started.
Congress earlier on Tuesday declared that they would skip the election by not naming any candidate's name for the upcoming by-poll in Kannauj which was represented by Akhilesh Yadav before becoming the CM of the state.
Following the steps of the Congress, Bahujan Samajwadi Party too announced, "The party has decided not to field its candidate in by-election for Kannauj parliamentary seat in Uttar Pradesh."
