Corrupt CBI judge got Rs 10 crore bribe from Reddy for bail

CBI sources stated that they may book the Judge’s son and others who is understood to have played a role in the case. They have also come to know that a retired judge and a history sheeter may have acted as the mediators in the underhand deal. The huge sum of money amounting to Rs 10 crore was brought to Karnataka from Bellary in two installments.
The CBI officials also seized Rs 1.60 crore from a bank locker in Ashoknagar area of Hyderabad. The deal was made such that a sum of Rs 3 crore would be paid before the bail order and Rs 7 crore after.
The tainted judge Ramarao had granted bail to Reddy on May 12. The bail was later stayed on the request of the CBI. CBI Court Principal Judge A Pullaiah has been given additional charge of the first additional CBI judge.
