Wedding in the time of bandh for BS Yeddyurappa

Bangalore, May 31: Ironic as it may sound, former Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa chose the right day to conduct the wedding of his granddaughter, on a

day called by the NDA.

workers in the state are in a state of flux whether to participate in the bandh or attend the wedding of their leader's granddaughter. Many top BJP leaders are understood to be attending the wedding.

The bandh will most definitely cast a shadow on the high profile wedding with many BJP loyalists and Yeddyurappa supporters touted to attend the wedding after taking part in the massive protest planned. The muhurtham of the wedding and the planned protest are more or less at the same time.

As was decided earlier, state BJP President KS Eshwarappa will take to the streets at afternoon on May 31st to support the bandh and will even court arrest. He has also instructed all senior party members and cadres to converge for the protests planned near the Mysore Bank circle.

Taking into consideration the wedding, the protest has been planned between 11 am and 12 noon so that party workers are able to attend the wedding. Eshwarappa has been quoted as saying, “Both events are equally important to us.''
