Jagan's grilling session to continue; no arrest yet

who was summoned by

officials in the disproportionate assets case, was let off after questioning him for seven hours straight on Friday.

The grilling session was carried out in the CBI guest house in Hyderabad. Emerging out of the office following the gruelling questioning session, Jagan stated, "It was cool and peaceful. Clarifications were sought, clarifications were given."

The questioning will continue on Saturday as well. The fear of arrest still looms large as his plea for anticipatory bail was rejected on Thursday. There were widespread rumours that he might be arrested when he turns up at the CBI office after he was summoned. He had earlier stated that the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) along with the CBI were targeting him ahead of the by elections in Andhra in June.

In the chargesheet filed by the CBI in the assets case, Jagan was named the prime accused.
