35 crore cash found at house of Chiranjeevi's daughter

Hyderabad, May 14: Income Tax officials have found

amounting to Rs 35 crore at the Chennai residence of Sushmita, the daughter of actor-turned politician

The IT officials who raided the place on May 11 and 12 confirmed that, "the cash was found neatly packed in 35 carton boxes with each containing Rs 1 crore in denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000." The money was handed over to the Reserve Bank of India on May 14.

Sushmita's husband Vishnu Prasad owns a large real estate business along with his father Shiv Prasad.

Chiranjeevi, a Rajya Sabha MP from Andhra Pradesh, refuted any link whatsoever to the raids. He described the reports in this connection as "politically motivated."
