Earthquake in Guwahati, tremors felt in Shillong, Kolkata
The epicentre of the quake was Tezpur in Assam.
Reports reveal that the tremors lasted for at least 10-15 seconds.
Reports of minor injuries to houses in Guwahati have been reported so far. Reports also reveal that two people have been injured in a house-collapse.
Properties sustained minimal damage, said reports.
Panic-gripped residents started rushing outside buildings and houses after quake rattled Guwahati.
