Subramanian Swamy claims life threat to A Raja

New Delhi, May 11: With the issue of former Telecom Minister and 2G scam accused

's bail plea hearing today, whistleblower and Janata party President

has in a stunning claim said that Raja faces a threat to his life.

This stunning claim comes at a time when Raja applied for bail for the very first time on grounds of parity. Former Telecom Secretary Sidharth Behura was granted bail recently, making Raja the sole accused in jail in the 2G spectrum scam.

Swamy has stated that Raja should get enhanced security in case he manages to get bail and walks out of the Tihar jail. He added that he faces a life threat since he knows too much on the 2G spectrum scam. He has been jailed for the last fifteen months while all other 13 accused have been granted relief from the court.

Raja now hopes for bail after he filed an application for the same in the Special CBI court led by Judge OP Saini hours after Behura was granted bail. Behura was arrested along with Raja on Feb 2, 2011.
