South Korea waiting for Delhi's proposal to set nuke facility
Jong-Keun said India had very close relations with South Korea in the fields of nuclear science and technology and an agreement was signed on civil nuclear energy co-operation between the two countries in July last year when President Pratibha Patil had visited the country.
"Since then, I met Dr (Srikumar) Bannerji, (former) chairman of Atomic Energy Commission, and we discussed how to develop our co-operation in the nuclear science and technology area."
As a first step, both countries have agreed to exchange scientists and the experts more than before, the Ambassador, who concluded his two-day visit to Odisha, said. Jong-Keun visited the proposed steel plant site of South Korean steel major Posco, which has run into opposition from locals, during the visit.
