According to police, the deceased, Jyotsna Negi was employed with a private company.

The body was recovered by her relatives, who came to check on her after she failed to answer their calls.

A suicide note found near her body read "personal reasons" for her to take such an extreme step. It also said that no one should be held responsible for her death.
